SMALL VOLUME PADDLES, BASKETS AND ACCESSORIES

 

The standard methods USP 1 and 2 use vessels with volumes of 1000ml and larger. This allows dissolution tests to be carried out with volumes larger than 300ml. For dosage forms that require a smaller volume, there is the option of carrying out dissolution tests with mini versions of paddles and baskets in 100, 200 or 250 ml (Chinese Small Volume). For this purpose, adapters are used in the standard dissolution test devices, which accommodate the smaller mini-vessels. The mini-paddles and mini-baskets can also be used adaptively.
